I personally think that Katherine Howard should be the leader, because (in my opinion) she had the worst life. She was s3xually abused by several men, and died as a result.
Parr.
I personally think that it's not a question about who would've won the competition, but about who actually needs to be the leader of the group - because Parr manages to convince everyone (both the queens and the audience) that the sole idea of the competition is stupid. Among her other achievements are:
she literally found the remaining five to organise the concert ("So I went out and found them")
she was also trying to at least keep the contest going by the rules by keeping track of the contestants and their order ("I think it's time for our hext queen, K Howard")
Parr had also succesfully interacted with ladies in waiting (asked Joan for a chord which Joan gave despite not being her lady in waiting - contrast Maria helping Aragon because they were actual friends) and crew (asked to turn the light off and then later on again)
So by far Parr had exhibited traits like charisma (being convincing to other queens), influence (having authority over the crew and band), organisation skills (staying on point and keeping time) and sense of direction (knowing her end goal is to unite the queens and moving towards it). It this isn't leader material, I don't know what is.
Not to mention she's canonically super smart.
Well... now I feel silly XD
It's fine!
As much as I love K. Howard, Anne Boleyn and Anna I personally think that Aragon should be the leader of the band. I don't think it needs to be questioned. She leaded the band with her "And tonight [LOCATION] we are..." and gets the first line in the show. Among that there is also:
Aragon was the first to arrive to England because she was shipped over from a foreign country to marry Henry's brother who died and then Aragon is (naturally) imprisoned for seven years!
Not only that, Aragon had to marry her dead husband's brother then became queen of England had 5 miscarriages, six actual pregnancies, which four of them died, but kept two children.
Judging my the criteria they're looking for the most IMPORTANT wife. If Henry didn't marry Catherine, he wouldn't of married Anne Boleyn or Jane Seymour, neither K. Howard. Anne Boleyn was only married because Catherine couldn't give Henry a son and Jane Seymour was Anne's first cousin (I think) and that's how he knew her. Henry then married Anna Von Kleve but WHOOPS she looks like a horse so then connecting back to Anne Boleyn Henry found K. Howard
Then there's the queens' criteria... "Who lasted the longest was the strongest." said by Aragon herself. "Who was most chased shall be first placed." Catherine was chased a lot for her beauty outside a portrait and was also chased for being royalty. "Most inglourious is victorious." Aragon clearly doesn't get enough credit for her time with Henry. She always stood by his side and didn't cheat.
Eventually, after leaving Henry and getting divorced she secretly spread rumours about Henry and still acted as Queen of England no matter what.
With all that being said, I think it's quite obvious who has to win now and become the leader. Even though I still want it to be Cleaves.
I think Howard suffered the most ngl
I'm stuck between Howard and Parr. Kathy Howard DEFINITELY had the worst time, being s3xually abused by 4 different men at least 10 years older than her, and she got beheaded. Lovely. But then again, Parr persuaded everyone (the other queens and the audience) that the competition is stupid. Also she was forced to marry Henry even though she was going to get married to someone else. So. Tough decision :D.
I'm not basing off the queens fight over "who has the worst life" I'm basing it off by who I think is fit to be the leader I think Catherine of Aragon not because she was the first one to be married to Henry, but I think she is the big sister of their group like she cam be strict, firm, confident and mentor-y but she also makes mistakes and I really think Howard, Boleyn and Cleves would be pretty immature to be the leader and Seymour and Parr would be too nice for their own good I know I canon Seymour as "the mom friend" but ya know like I said. But if its based off the real life queens yea Cleves or Boleyn would fit
I'm not choosing Howard because she did something really immature, I know she was 17 when she married Henry but, what the heck she was 17 she should be mature at that age by now and hasn't she learned her lesson not to talk to boys anymore she should've leads it after all the guys just using her 😒 no (offense)
What do you think?
