Catherine of Aragon was Queen of England from June 1509 to May 1533 due to her marriage to King Henry VIII. She was his first wife and was succeeded by Anne Boleyn. Before her marriage to Henry, she held the title Princess of Wales, as she had been married to Henry's brother Arthur before he died. She is currently being played by Nikki Bentley in the West End production of Six the Musical, and by Khaila Wilcoxon in the Broadway production. In cast recordings, her role was played by Renée Lamb and Adrianna Hicks respectively.

Trivia[]
- Catherine was raised to live in England and eventually become a queen consort by her parents from a young age.
- As Catherine's mother was a female monarch herself, she wanted her daughters to have the best education possible, arranging for them to be taught lessons that were commonly taught only to princes, not princesses. As a result of this, Catherine was well educated in many subjects, including politics and religion, and was fluent in several languages.
- Anne Boleyn served as Catherine's maid of honour.
- Catherine was the godmother of Catherine Parr, and it is believed that her goddaughter was named after her.
- Catherine Parr's mother, Maud Green, was a close friend and lady-in-waiting to Catherine of Aragon.
- Out of all of Henry's queens, he was most closely related to Catherine Parr and Catherine of Aragon.
- Catherine ruled England as regent in 1513 while Henry was away at war with France. During her reign, she also won a victory against the invading Scottish army and sent a piece of King James of Scots' blood stained cloak to her husband after he was killed in the Battle of Flodden.
- Henry's marriage to Catherine was the longest out of his six marriages, with the two having been married for nearly 24 years at the time of the divorce.
- Catherine was the only one of Henry's wives that was older than him; she was born in 1485, while he was born in 1491, making her around six years older.
- For swings and alternates that have two first covers, the role of Catherine of Aragon is most often paired with that of Anna of Cleves.
- For swings and alternates that have three first covers, the previous pair with the addition of the role of Catherine Parr is the most common.
- Over all, out of the four alternate costumes, the black costume and the pale pink costume are most associated with the role of Aragon; five out of the eight actresses cast as the black alternate have had Aragon as one of their intended first covers, while both of the actresses cast as the pink alternate have had the role as their first cover.
- Grace Mouat, Ella Burns, Paisley Billings, Chiara Assetta, Grace Melville, Madeline Fansler, Cecilia Snow, Jana Glover, Jillian Worthing, Deirdre Dunkin, Giulia Marolda and Sierra Fermin all made their debut in the show as Aragon.
- After her divorce from Henry, he refused to allow her any title but Dowager Princess of Wales (referring to how she was his brother's widow) until her death, despite Catherine believing herself to be England's only rightful queen.
- In the musical, Catherine's 'queenspirations' were Beyoncé and Shakira.
- In an Instagram story, Toby Marlow stated that if Six were to be made into a movie, he would like either Jennifer Lopez or Jessie J to play Catherine.[1]
