Lauren Drew is a Welsh actress, singer, and dancer. She played Catherine of Aragon and was the assistant dance captain in the 2021-22 UK Tour of Six the Musical, beginning on 8 June 2021. She left the show on 9 March 2022, and her role was taken over by Chlöe Hart.
Lauren also played the same role in the 2019-20 UK Tour from 24 October 2019 to 16 March 2020.
Lauren was in the same production of Heathers as Jodie Steele and Sophie Isaacs, acting as Jodie's understudy.
Lauren was in the same production of Evita as Samantha Pauly, acting as her understudy.
Lauren was in the same production of Sweet Charity as Danielle Steers.
Coincidentally, they both booked Six at the same time, and they saw the show together for the first time a few weeks before they started rehearsals for the 2019-20 UK Tour and West End productions respectively.
Lauren was previously offered to be an alternate in Six, but she turned it down as she didn't know much about the show and joined the company of Heathers instead.
Lauren has said that the queens that she is most like are Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn.
Lauren competed in the tenth series of The Voice UK from 2 January to 6 March 2021. She sang Mamma Knows Best by Jessie J for her Blind Audition and turned all four chairs.[1][2] She performed against the duo Wayne and Morgan in the Battle Rounds with Aretha Franklin's rendition of Respect; she lost the battle but was "stolen" by another coach.[3] Lauren was eliminated in the Semi-Finals after performing Don't You Worry 'bout a Thing by Stevie Wonder.[4]
Lauren was featured in the fifth episode of the second season of the In The Frame: Theatre Interviews from West End Frame podcast.
In 2022, Lauren was nominated for the Best Supporting Performer in a New Production of a Musical award at the BroadwayWorld UK/West End Awards for her role in Legally Blonde.
Lauren will be in the same production of Titanique as Kristina Walz.
