History[]

Six made its world premiere at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017. The production sold out many performances and received positive reviews from various journalists. Show writer Toby Marlow invited family friend and composer George Stiles to see the production in Edinburgh, who then encouraged producer Kenny Wax to see the production when it transferred to Cambridge University. Stiles and Wax partnered with Wendy and Andy Barnes of Global Musicals, who saw the production in Edinburgh, to produce a professional production of the show.[1][2]

Wax suggested that they do a showcase at the Arts Theatre in London on Monday nights. The production was officially announced on 22 November 2017, as a four-night limited engagement.[3][4] Casting was released days later on 30 November 2017, and featured Renée Lamb (Aragon), Christina Modestou (Boleyn), Natalie Paris (Seymour), Genesis Lynea (Cleves), Aimie Atkinson (Howard), and Izuka Hoyle (Parr).[5][6]

The production opened on 18 December 2017 at the Arts Theatre in London, England. Due to popular demand, an additional performance was added to the last two days of the run.[7][8] The production closed on 22 January 2018, after six performances.[9]

Following the success of the production, the show was picked up for a UK Tour in July 2018 and a West End transfer returning to the Arts Theatre in January 2019. Natalie Paris (Seymour) and Aimie Atkinson (Howard) reprised their roles for the productions. A cast recording with the Original Arts Theatre cast was released on 31 August 2018.
