This page lists some of the standards that users are required to follow when creating and editing a page on the Six the Musical Wiki.
Note: This page is still unfinished and will be updated in the future to have more content.
Creating and Editing a Page
- When creating a page, please ensure that the format follows that of other pages. For example, if you are creating a page for a new actress, look at some other actress pages before following through with the page.
- Occupations on an actress page should be listed in the following format: "actress, singer, dancer", with any other occupations listed after the three main ones.
- For band members, the format should be whatever instrument they are most proficient at playing or are most known for listed first, followed by "musician", with any other relevant occupations to follow after that.
- Article names for cast and crew should be what the person is credited as. For example, though Jen McMillan's full name is Jennifer, she was credited in the program as "Jen" and uses that name more often.
- Similarly, pages for historical figures (most notably the queens) are usually named with how they are referred to in the show, with some obvious exceptions (i.e. the Ladies in Waiting). It is not appropriate to rename a page such as Katherine Howard to the more common historical spellings, this is a wiki for the musical and such follows the musical spelling.
- For actresses who have been in numerous productions of the show, their most recent production should be listed first, with others to follow.
- An exception will be made for actresses who have only temporarily transferred to other productions and will return to their original one, such as Jennifer Caldwell.
- All musical or play titles are to be italicised, regardless of where they are written.
- Song titles are also to be italicised.
- Actresses' stage credit sections are to be listed in order of year, earliest to latest. If there are multiple productions within a year, they are to be listed in chronological order as well.
- If an actress has been in a show more than once, the productions are to be listed separately, unless the show was a tour such as Six's North American Tour.
- A page should only be linked once or twice on another page, depending on whether or not the page uses an infobox.
- In most cases, galleries should only have Megasix videos from the debut in the role (a Megasix for each debut in an alternate's case, only one Megasix from a principal debut), the performer's final show, and any emergency returns they may make. However, if a Megasix from the official debut is unavailable for any reason, it is okay to use the earliest available Megasix for that role, but please remember to abide by the rule regarding illegal content.
- If a page contains a note that says not to add a specific piece of information, you must abide by that note. The only exception is if the note is due to there being a lack of reference for the information; if you find a reliable reference, you are welcome to remove the note and add the information.
- As some performers are aware of this wiki, they may choose to omit information from their pages (e.g. Abby Mueller’s birth date). If this is the case, these notes must always be abided by. It is not appropriate to add information a performer has requested to be left out of their page.
