Toby Marlow is a Jewish-English writer, composer, lyricist, and actor. They composed and co-wrote Six the Musical with Lucy Moss.
Personal Life[]
Toby openly identifies as nonbinary and gay.[1][2] They are the older sibling of Annabel Marlow, who played Katherine Howard at the Edinburgh Fringe 2017 performance of Six.

- In June 2022, Toby, alongside Lucy Moss, won the Tony Award for Best Original Score for Six. This made them the first openly nonbinary composer-lyricist to win a Tony Award.[1][2]
- In September 2022, Toby and Lucy Moss were included in Time's Next 100 list.[3]
- Toby's favourite line from Six is Anna of Cleves' "Divorced".[4]
- Toby's favourite cut line is "We just end up as backing vocals on Henry's greatest hits".
- Toby covered the role of Catherine Parr on the West End on 28 July 2019 due to cast injury and illness.
- Toby provided some backing vocals in the Worldwide Six video.
- Toby also provided backing vocals on the Studio Cast Recording during Get Down.
- Toby shares a birthday with Edward VI.
- Toby also co-wrote the musical Hot Gay Time Machine with Lucy Moss and Zak Ghazi-Torbati. Zak and Toby also starred in the show together.[5]
- In 2022, How Far We’ve Come, a song Toby wrote with Lucy Moss, will debut at the Regenerate: Lost Songs from the Musicals concert, performed by Natalie Paris.[6]
