Vidya Makan is an Indian-Australian actor, singer, dancer, writer, composer, and lyricist. She played Catherine Parr in the 2021-23 Australian Tour of Six the Musical, beginning on 19 December 2021. She played the same role in the 2020 Australian Tour from 4 January to 5 March 2020. She left the show on 19 February 2023.

- Vidya is writing a musical inspired by Bohemian artists Gerda Wegener and Lili Elbe entitled Woman. It is two years into its development phase.[2]
- Vidya is in the process of composing a song cycle about Australia and home titled My Home Too.
- Vidya wrote and performed in a musical about the Australian identity and Indigenous Australians named The Lucky Country.
- Vidya has the same birthday as Grace Mouat.
